Cache is a meadow brome with excellent drought tolerance. Tolerates spring frost for early rapid green up. Rapid regrowth makes it an ideal component in intensive rotational grazing systems. It should not be grazed below three to four inches. Seed size does work well in most drills, but can be broadcast with other pasture seed components.
Seed: 10 lbs. per acre in pasture mixtures.
York is a late maturity southern smooth bromegrass with improved winter hardiness and drought tolerance. Good regrowth and very palatable forge. Later maturity lends it to three cut hay or rotational pastures not grazed below four inches. Southern smooth brome grasses have very large seeds and must be sown separately, from other hay or pasture components.
Seed: 15 to 20 lbs. per acre alone or 5 to 8 lbs. per acre in hay mixtures.
