All Radish are out of Stock for 2011

Tap Master Radish - Long tapered tap root is designed to break up hard pans. This creates root channels, improved water infiltration and aerations for warmer spring soil planting temperatures. Tap Master does and excellent job of capturing nutrients and recycling them. Expert Tap Master to completely winter kill and leave little or no residue. Seed at 8-10 lbs./acre alone or at 5 lbs/acre in combination with winter peas, crimson clover or chickling vetch.

GroundHog Forage Radish  -  GroundHog produces more root mass than oil seed  radish, allowing it to capture 150 to 200 lbs of nitrogen per acre and other nutrients that would leach out of the soil. GroundHog winter kills leaving nutients in near the surface and  holes in the ground that improve water infilatration and soil aeration.  Seed in the late summer at rate of 10 lbs/acre, at 1/4 inch depth.  Can be grazed if seeded in combination with Pasja Forage Turnip.

NitroRadish - NitroRadish is a fast growing, cool season cover crop.
It is ideal for planting in the late summer or early fall.  Significant amounts of Nitrogen can be captured and recycled by NitroRadish when planted 45 to 60 days before the firsrt killing frost.  It works very well in cocktail mixes with other cover crops.  NitroRadish will easily decompose, over the winter leaving the soil rich in nutrients.
Seeding Rate:  8 to 10 lbs per acre

Brusier (Diploid) Ryegrass  -  Brusier can provide very rapid top growth cover that is very cold tolerant.  It has roots up to three feet deep to capture nutrients, as well as break up soil compaction.  Brusier is highly palatable, start grazing at 10 to 12 inches and remove animals when at 3 to 4 inches.  Seed for forage purposes at 40lbs/acre and cover crop utilization at 20 lbs/acre, at 1/4 inch seeding depth.  Bruiser.jpg

Mancan Buckwheat  -  Buckwheat germinates rapidly, and the dense leaf canopy shades soil smothering most weeds.  Primarily used as a green manure crop it can provide 3 tons of dry matter per acre after only 6 to 8 weeks.  (Buckwheat is both a source of honey and buckwheat milling flower.)  Easy to establish at a seeding rate fo 50 lbs./acre, in late summer.  Buckwheat is not cold tolerant, but will provide wildlife winter feeding on seeds.  Buckwheat_1.jpg

Balboa Winter Ryegrain  -  Long used as an excellent ground cover for erosion control on a wide range of soils.  It's rapid germination and top growth provides rapid cover and deep roots trap excess nutrients.  Seeded in late fall at a seeding rate of 100 lbs/acre, it can be drilled or braodcast. Intimidator Oats  -  Seeded in late summer a cover crop or as a hay crop after corn silage.  Intimidator oats have upright growth, rather large wide leaves, and can grow to 5 to 7 feet tall.  Foliage is normally cut for forage, and is great when seeded in combination wht Pea's.  Seed at 60 lbs/acre with peas.
